U.S. Men’s Soccer = FAIL (well, not quite)

packtwit

Mark Packer, who has a syndicated sports talk radio show out of Charlotte, and is the son of Billy Packer, expresses what several of us think about the U.S. men’s soccer team.  The U.S. lost to Brazil 3-0 today and is eliminated from the FIFA Confederations Cup.

Update (6/28/2009): Thanks to Egypt beating Italy, then the U.S. beating Egypt and Italy getting trounced by Brazil, the U.S. made it into the semifinals of the tournament where they pulled a shocker over Spain, 2-0.  Then in the finals against Brazil, they had a 2-0 lead at halftime only to see the machine that is Brazil come back and win 3-2.  All things considered, it was a good showing for the United States after all.  From this point forward, I’ll stop heckling against the U.S. men soccer team unless they give me a reason to do so.
