About
Richard Wood has served in North Carolina Baptist churches for over nine years as a youth minister, education minister, associate pastor and interim pastor. He is a graduate of Gardner-Webb University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and of Campbell University Divinity School with a Master of Divinity in Christian Education. He is a regional resource specialist in youth ministry and youth Sunday school for the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina, and leads conference and breakout sessions in youth ministry, youth Sunday school, and technology in ministry. Currently, Richard is an Information Technology Systems Analyst for Preferred Communications in Butner, NC, and occasionally does content writing and web development work for Spence Hackney Design. He also serves Adjunct Instructor of Religion for the GOAL Program at Gardner-Webb University.
A native of Wilkesboro, NC, Richard and his wife Beth live in Durham, NC. Richard is an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Carolina Hurricanes, Washington Redskins, University of Tennessee football and University of North Carolina basketball.
